The Heritage

This signet is struck in solid 10K yellow gold — the harder gold, chosen on purpose. Softer karats are made to be admired; 10K is made to be used. The honest note: 10K is the harder gold — more alloy, more wear-resistance — and we chose it on purpose: a signet is meant to be used, not set aside. It is solid gold throughout, never plated or filled. We name the karat plainly because there is nothing to hide and a great deal to wear.

Caring for Your Vann Veld

• Wipe with a soft, dry cloth to lift the day's oils.
• For a deeper clean: warm water, a drop of mild soap, a soft brush; pat dry.
• Go easy with polishing cloths on the brushed face — they chase the matte toward a shine it was never meant to have.
• Worn often, a signet earns a faint, even patina — the gold remembering where it has been, not a flaw.
